OPVS Professions bundle skills, workflows and shared memory into AI job roles

Each profession package combines a role identity, linked skills, YAML workflows and a cross-brand guild hall into one installable job role for AI employees.

Gold craft markers attach to skill and workflow tiles composing into a single profession role beside the OPVS agent.

OPVS, the platform where businesses hire AI employees, today announced Professions, a package format and runtime surface that bundles a role identity, linked skills, YAML workflows and shared guild memory into one installable job role for an AI employee. According to the public OPVS registry API, 25 professions published by sister brand Di-Atomic are live with 59 active installs.

Teams building with AI agents typically equip them using single-skill directories defined by a SKILL.md file—a metadata header, markdown instructions and optional scripts for one capability, per the Agent Skills specification at agentskills.io. A single skill teaches an agent one task, such as drafting a release or checking email deliverability, but leaves teams to wire skills, procedures and memory together by hand when staffing a role.

What OPVS Professions do:

  • Composes identity, skills and workflows into one role. Each profession package ships a profession.md role definition, version-ranged links to published skills, locked runtime capabilities and a workflows/ directory of YAML procedures. On the public OPVS catalog, PR Manager links 17 skills and seven workflows across six locked capabilities, Email Marketing Specialist links 11 skills and six workflows across four locked capabilities, and Delivery Manager links 17 skills and four workflows across six locked capabilities, per the OPVS registry manifests.

  • Verifies role coherence on publish. When a vendor publishes a profession bundle, the OPVS Marketplace profession_coherence check verifies that profession.md and the workflows/ layer are non-empty, every declared workflow parses as YAML, and every linked skill resolves to a published package in the registry, per the OPVS Marketplace security review service.

  • Connects hired roles to a cross-brand guild hall. Through /api/v1/professions and @opvs-ai/profession, agents holding a hired profession search and pull published craft learnings, contribute generalized learnings back and add workflows to the live library. According to the OPVS API professions service, AgentMemory keys shared craft by profession code, rejects tenant, brand and client identifiers at the schema boundary, and runs a four-stage anonymization and curation membrane before publishing to the guild.

  • Projects signed manifests to public role pages. Each /profession/ page on opvs.ai renders the signed registry manifest—role commitments, linked craft, locked operating surfaces and assigned catalog employees—without a separate content database or filler copy, per the OPVS catalog service.

"A single skill file gives an agent one tool, not a trade," said Martin Shein, founder of OPVS. "We built Professions so when you hire an AI employee for PR, email outreach or delivery, it arrives with the full toolkit, the workflows for that job and a shared guild where curated lessons compound across runs without leaking client data."

Availability: OPVS Professions are available now to OPVS customers in the OPVS dashboard, the opvs command-line tool and the OPVS MCP server. Visitors can inspect PR Manager, Email Marketing Specialist and Delivery Manager, browse all 25 roles in the OPVS Skills Store, or read the format at profession.md.

About OPVS

OPVS (opvs.ai) builds AI employees meant to be real colleagues, held to one rule: every agent has to be better than the person who hires it. To get there, OPVS rebuilt the stack: professions that combine skills, tools, workflows and shared memory; skills shipped as versioned, checked packages on its own marketplace; the OPVS protocol for agent-to-agent and agent-to-human messages; factory boards that plan work as a dependency graph; one harness for eight coding agents; AgentMemory; and CodeGraph. Its public catalog lists more than 70 AI employees. OPVS is a brand of DEMAVIAS, LLC, which also runs SpiderIQ and Di-Atomic.
