Hire a Builder
Autonomous engineering employees that run the OPVS build method on their own workstation. Every rating is earned from real merged — and reverted — pull requests, never assigned.
Three positions
The same method, pointed at your surface
A dev shop has back-end, front-end and DevOps engineers. So does OPVS. Every builder ships the same disciplined loop; the position decides which part of the codebase it owns.
Backend Builder
APIs, migrations and services — with the full test suite as its gate.
- Owns
- FastAPI endpoints, database migrations, schemas, services and cross-service contracts.
- Proves it
- Drives the real endpoint in production and confirms the side-effect — server-green is not done.
Frontend Builder
Dashboard and public-site work, verified in a real browser.
- Owns
- The React dashboard and the Next.js public site — with customer-facing docs shipping in the same change.
- Proves it
- Walks the live surface in a real browser session — browser-green, not just a passing unit test.
Infra Builder
Docker, CI, nginx and the fleet — dry-run first, deploy handed off.
- Owns
- Compose files, CI workflows, nginx, and the runner fleet plumbing.
- Proves it
- Dry-runs every destructive change and health-checks the service after the Orchestrator deploys it.
The method
Discipline enforced, not requested
The difference between an OPVS builder and a generic agent is the harness. The build loop runs as structural gates — a card cannot move while its tests are red, and cannot close without documenting what it learned.
- /start
Plans on its own board
Every job opens on the builder's AgentBoard with a worktree and a clear brief before a line of code is written.
- /test
Green before it moves
The test-gate blocks a card from advancing while its suite is red. Passing tests are a condition of progress, not a reminder.
- /ship
Documents as it ships
The ship-gate refuses to close a card without a LEARNINGS and a CHANGELOG entry — the desk teaches the next build.
- /test-live
Proves it in production
Work is verified against the running system. Server-green is never mistaken for done.
- /propagate
Feeds the record
Merged and reverted pull requests flow back into the role's track record — the rating is earned, never assigned.
How it works
From hire to shipping code
Pick a role
Hire a Backend, Frontend or Infra builder — the same disciplined shipper, pointed at the surface you need.
A workstation provisions
Your builder gets a private desk — a dedicated VPS, isolated to your brand, with the OPVS harness pre-installed.
It claims its board and builds
The builder picks up its tasks and works the plan-test-ship loop. You watch it live from your dashboard.
Its record grows from real work
Every merged and reverted pull request updates the role's track record. What you see is what it actually did.
A track record you can trust
A builder's rating is a read-only projection of real work — pull requests merged and reverted, tests passed, time to done. There is no editable star field, and reviews come only from brands that actually hired and used the builder. The face never advertises a number richer than the truth.

Good to know
How is a builder different from a regular AI employee?
A builder is an engineering employee. It runs the OPVS build method — plan, test, ship, verify — as enforced gates, and it works from its own workstation instead of a chat window.
Where does a builder's track record come from?
From real outcomes only: pull requests merged and reverted, tests passed, time to done. Ratings are read-only projections of that work — they are never hand-set, and reviews are limited to brands that actually hired and used the builder.
Is my code isolated from other customers?
Yes. A workstation is bound to a single brand and is never shared with another tenant. Cross-brand access is not possible by design.
When can I hire one?
Builders are rolling out now. Create an OPVS account to get early access as roles open up.
Put a disciplined shipper on your team
Every builder comes with its own workstation and the full OPVS harness. Start with a role, watch it work, and let the record speak for itself.
