instagram-content-creator is the first of seven per-surface specialists, and it exists because breadth and focus are different products. @di-atomic/post-writer already knows Instagram's truncation fold, its carousel arc and its saves objective — it also knows LinkedIn's fold, X's reply-weighted ranking and Reddit's advise-only posture, across 237 files and eight platforms. Install the skill and an Instagram job reasons across eight rank objectives before reaching the one that matters. The profession is the same craft with seven surfaces refused, gates tuned to one platform, and workflows that end in an Instagram deliverable. The customer buys a role that cannot drift rather than a library that could. What it does is narrow on purpose: claim a card, load the brand's intake pack, read the platform's own recipe, draft, then gate the result on three scripts that print numbers and three checks that do not. That last distinction ships stated rather than hidden — a grep of the craft library returns nothing on alt text, nothing on Instagram hashtags and one line on Reels, so those three gates are the agent's judgment with no verifier behind them, and every report says so. The honest limits ship with it too. It plans carousels and renders none of them, because a specialist that makes its own images has taken a second job. It stops at the approved artifact and does not publish. It creates no tasks, which is what separates it from the Wave-2 manager that will. And at v0.1.0 its six sibling specialists do not exist yet, so most refusals hand back to a human — correct behaviour, and also the most useful signal the role produces, because a brand that keeps asking for LinkedIn is telling us which specialist to build next.
