The brand switcher in the dashboard's user menu decides which brand every page shows. Before version 1.5.1 a switch could quietly undo itself, so people kept working in the brand they had just left. Choosing a brand now reloads the dashboard into it, and it stays there.
What's new in v1.5.1
- Choosing a brand reloads the whole dashboard. The page loads fresh in the brand you picked, the checkmark moves to it, and every request the dashboard sends from then on carries that brand. You land on a start page, because a board or task from the old brand means nothing in the new one.
- A switch can no longer undo itself. A page opened from a link to a board, task, agent, hire page or machine follows the brand that link belongs to. It used to pull you back there right after you switched away. Now it follows its link once, when it opens, and after that the brand is yours to choose.
- Picking the brand you are already in does nothing. No reload happens, so a stray click in the menu costs you nothing.
- Other open tabs follow without reloading. A dashboard tab you left open moves to the new brand in place, so an unsaved draft in it survives. Linked pages in those tabs no longer switch the brand back either.
You see the brand you chose, on every page, until you choose another one.
